2010 USS Sproston Reunion
San Diego, CA 22-26 September (Wednesday - Sunday)
San Diego has long been a favorite destination for military
reunions because of the strong Navy presence, warm weather, and welcoming
atmosphere. Most of us haven’t forgotten those first weeks of Navy life in Boot
Camp at NTC San Diego.
Reunion chairman Jim Marlatt has put together a
reunion package certain to provide a memorable experience for you, your family,
and guests.
Our headquarters will be the Harbor Island Hilton Hotel, site of the 2004
Sproston reunion. They have offered us a very attractive room rate
of only $105/night plus tax.
This is a very special reunion. On 15 Sept 1950
the USS Sproston was re-commissioned and returned to active duty; it is a time
to celebrate
the return of the USS Sproston to the fleet 60 years ago. I ask that each of you
try to contact shipmates for whom we may not have an
address and did not receive this notice. Please share this information with them
so they might be able to attend. Check the Sproston website
